Trees Felled During Windstorm

On March 8, 2017, Rochester NY experienced wind gusts up to 80 mph.  Eleven trees at the Stone Road - Waad Hakolel cemetery were seriously damaged or uprooted and fell to the ground. Remarkably, most of the towering evergreens in the Beth Hamedresh-Beth Israel section landed in between rows of monuments.  Although the asphalt path was seriously damaged, the  monuments are standing.  By now the trees have been removed and the cemetery is open.
